Silverback

Image
Silverback is a strange way to start a blog article. It's the name of a mountain bike which I recently purchased. In just over a week from now I will be on my way to ride in the next Mapa 24 hours Southern Skies MTB Challenge in Parys. The new bicycle was procured for the very reason of riding in the challenge.

Why did I go to all the trouble and expense of getting yet another mountain bike? Well, when you go to a cycle dealer you are overwhelmed by the variety of choices you are confronted by. Quite often I have looked at bikes and was told that a medium would suit me, but that was incorrect.

I had made up my mind to buy a Momsen this time, but again I was steered by the salesman in another direction and I ended up buying a Silverback. Nevertheless I insisted that I wanted a small. That was the best decision I ever made because, as it turned out, it was the correct size for me. Whe…

The Importance of Promotional Gifts

Image
Unique corporate, promotional and marketing gifts can make an important difference to any business. With the right approach promotional gifts can make your brand go beyond the ordinary - to get people talking about your brand. Fun, crazy ideas can be a plus with regard to your gift and can put a smile on someone’s face. Don't, however, disregard the usefulness of your gift. It may be an office accessory or a golf shirt with an attractive design on it. All these things have one thing in mind and that is to create brand awareness and loyalty.

One company that specializes in this industry is Kathleen's Promotions. They have been assisting clients for over fifteen years in promoting their brands and have an excellent record in getting it right. Not forgetting about the important corporate apparel that your staff wear. That is also part of the image of your brand. If you are one of the many companies that make use of corporate, promotional and marketing gifts or want to do this fo…

Best Blogging Advice Ever - Thank you.

Image
I have been wanting to change the look of my blog for quite some time now and managed to get some inspiration today, so I put together this image (above). Sometimes you get inspiration from people and places that you never imagined.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would finally post an article on my blog that would attract so much attention. My very recent post titled "Best Blogging Advice Ever!" has attracted quite a lot of attention, especially from Poland, America, South Africa, Germany, Portugal, Russia, France, Austria, Spain and Ireland - in that order.

It's a good thing and I'm very grateful for all the visits. Blogging is fun, rewarding and a great way to learn and grow, yet quite scary when you realise that sometimes people are looking for something special that could help them - I do believe that this was it because the figures are still climbing all the time.

Well, a new look is overdue and I will work on that. I will also see if I can keep up th…
